Yes, there will be a shanty/forebitter/ballad session this Saturday, 20 March, at the Press room in Portsmouth NH from 3:30 to 7:30 PM.

Linn has to work at her silly job that day, so the voiceless one will need all the help available,

See you Saturday. Thanks - Tom

Tom-

Judy and I will be there and some old sea music friends, Vince Morash and Pixie, from Halifax will also drop in at some time to join the session; Vince spent several years of his youth on a trawler and composed among ditties I sing "Haul Away the Nets."

Cheerily,
Charley Noble

Alas, looks like I'll be missing both the Friday session (have to work later on Friday and be to work earlier on Saturday, which is usually my day off) and the Saturday shanty session.

I MAY be able to get to the end of the shanty session, but if it's been a crazy (and profitable) day, I'll probably just head home and rest up for Sunday, which is not only the last day of our "extravaganza" trunk show, but Sears Friends & Family.

If I can con, er, talk someone else into driving, Jason and I will both be there. It's as good as my birthday, and I'll be damned if I'm gonna be the DD!

I have a previous commitment and can't make it. It's been too long. We will celebrate your birthday next Saturday, Tami. I see a purple and pink cake in your future.

Sigh. And I even managed to finagle a weekend day off. I'm going to go find a dark corner and cry now.

Awakened at 2 a.m. by leg and foot cramps; never really got back to sleep. Insidious headache now. About to head off to work on what would usually be my day off -- the joys of retail.

Have fun, friends, at the March Press Room shanty sing this afternoon.

Geez, people, don't I get a report?!? It's not enough that I was slaving away in the mines of commerce and my only tease was a cell phoned photo of friends on Facebook?!?

I want DETAILS!!!

I know Charley and Jeri and Justine and Marty and Mark and Curmudgeon were there -- I want "the REST of the story"; (Tom's already told me it was a really good session.)

Meanwhile, I'm heading back to the mines of commerce for the last day of the Extravaganza.

I should mention that it was JudyB we have to thank for 90% of the details.
