Theodis Ealey. Heard of him?

Went to a blues festival this past Friday at the Municipal Auditorium in Nashville. Hadn't heard of any of the performers, but the price was right for a nice evening out for my wife and me. Every group was spot on and world class, but we were particularly impressed with Theodis Ealey. Great showman and guitar player. Easily the class of the night. He's third billing on a tour called 'The Blues Is Alright'. When his band started to play there was a palpable difference in intensity and when he hit the stage the roof levitated. The previous bands were GREAT, too. And he was never 'over the top' like Buddy Guy and some other well known blues guitarists can be. None of that vainglorious "Are you havin' a good time!! I can't HEAR YOU!!" crap. He just played his buns off and tore the house down. Check him out online. He's got some youtube videos of a show in Memphis w/a little bit of him being interviewed.
