I am after a recent very good jpeg picture of Harvey Andrews on stage, for Faldingworth Live's website for his upcoming concert on May 1st 2010 and for publicty in the local newspapers.

Very much appreciated if anybody can help.

I always try Google Images Search first for that sort of thing.
But doesn't Harvey have any pics he can send you?

Hi Anahata
I have tried downloading a picture that I like but the quality is not good enough.

I was hoping somebody might have taken a great picture of him on stage recently that would complement you and Mary's Picture :-)

Maybe somebody has one of him singing at a Birmingham City match. He is not likely to be in a good mood tonight as they lost. :-)

I am trying to finish off the webpage for the double bill with you and Mary.

If nobody can help, I will phone Sue at Routes Music tomorrow.

Cheers
Les

Since when has the plural of 'photo' had an apostrophe?

Quite right Pedant. My mistake.

Don't cave in too quickly, Les.
What's wrong with the apostrophe, dear pedant?
I believe it's ok to use an apostrophe where one misses letters from a word, is it not?
The word photographs expressed as photo's is acceptable, surely?
That's the way you meant it, isn't it Les? ;0)

Rules for the correct use of the apostrophe.
The apostrophe is used:
1.To indicate the possessive.
2.To indicate missing letters.
3.Sometimes to indicate the structure of unusual words.

Or is it just me talking boll's? ;0)

LOL

I agree that normally you would use the apostrophy when letters are missing from a word and that indeed was why I did it, but as is the English language, we have to have things that do not follow the rules as in the case of Photos :-)

Now I will be accused of too long a sentence :-)

hi les

In this case I think you will find that the word photo is an accepted shortened version of photograph. As such it is a noun in it's own right.

So the plural of photo is..................photos.

cheers
