The Midgley Pace Egg play is again performed this Good Friday in the Calder Valley in West Yorkshire, UK.

Having put together a Google map for friends who are visiting for the first time I thought it might be useful to others so I've made it public and if the technology is to be believed you can access it at the link below.

Google map for Midgley Pace Egg

The play programme is on the Folkplay.info site.

See last year's play on YouTube

Happy Easter!

John - I am impressed by the Google Maps - recently I have discovered a few very clever tricks they have built into it, but was not aware that you can write your own itinerary and link it to map views with clicky links(one to investigate).

Just in case people miss what you say on the "Parking at Luddenden" link I will explain in more detail.

When you get to a location map, if you look at the top of the "zoom in and out" scale, there is an orange man.
If you click on the man, it brings up a picture view of the location (You can also drag him, kicking and screaming, onto the map to explore different points). This view can be rotated to see what is behind you (not a pantomime thread).
Once a view is on screen, clicking on John's Itinerary links, at the side of the map, will change the map and view to the location clicked.
A box near the right top corner of the picture changes it to a full screen view, which you can rotate by a mouse "click and drag".
Using all this, you can see where the players will be performing, although you cannot see them as they aren't there yet...

Quack!
