08 Apr 10 - 06:08 PM (#2882419) Subject: Cecil Sharp on Mastermind From: GUEST,Derek Schofield Friday 9 April, Mastermind on BBC 2 has a contestant answering questions on Cecil Sharp (or, as the Radio Times spells it, Sharpe). I guess this must be the guy who answered on Child ballads in the first round. Can't remember his name - from Tyneside. Derek Schofield |

09 Apr 10 - 09:29 AM (#2882810) Subject: RE: Cecil Sharp on Mastermind From: GUEST,Mr Red Selwyn from the Somer TFC (Fri, Albion, Sidbury, Worcester) appeared on the show 10 or more years ago and he regarded Folk subjects as too difficult for the format of the show, and he is very knowledgeable. He lasted one show AFAIK. And Last season a keen ceilidhnaut was in the Reading team on University Challenge. Some of us struggle to reach the dizzy heights of Page 3 of the Sun. |
