15 Apr 10 - 08:29 PM (#2887587) Subject: RE: BS: International humour From: Q (Frank Staplin) The point that the Maine AG is making is that any alcohol content in soft drinks is barred by Maine law. Bottle shape can also be legislated in Maine; comparabble to that is that in most states and in this province of Alberta, chocolate 'cigarettes' are barred. |

15 Apr 10 - 08:42 PM (#2887597) Subject: RE: BS: International humour From: The Fooles Troupe That minimum amount by law in The Real World is because it is physically impossible - unless you just add together a bunch of artificial flavours, to 'brew' ANYTHING with a zero alcohol content - even bread dough has a minimum amount, evaporated out in the baking process - adds to that smell you know - even if it goes thru an 'alcohol removal' process - a tiny amount will remain. I recently posted an article about a US Chemist that sold nothing that would upset anybody with an axe to grind going broke in 18 months cause they sold nothing that people actually wanted - same sort of lack of contact with reality... legislators have even been reputed to pass laws redefining the value of Pi... Sigh... |

Closed up, it looked exactly like a cigarette. I did not grow up to smoke, but I sure wouldn't want my grandson to have one like it. He sees the real deal too much as it is. The lemonade? Ridiculous! |
