09 Aug 99 - 06:52 PM (#103476) Subject: Good and bad From: Tony Burns Reminder: Tonight, 9:00 eastern time, Rick Fielding's Acoustic Workshop. If it's not one thing it's another. Good news: As I write this the RealAudio feed from CIUT is working. Bad news: The Mudcat chat room is not available. (Maybe Max told us it would be down until he got the new version running. I don't remember. In any case I can't get there with IRC or via the java client. The URL just produces a 404 Not Found error) |

09 Aug 99 - 06:56 PM (#103482) Subject: RE: CIUT tonight. From: katlaughing Tony, I think it was Alison who posted she'd set up an ICQ temp chat, but I can't remember which thread it is in, maybe the Mudcat Changes one. And, Max did say he's setting up a new deal for it. Thanks for the reminder. I hope it keeps working! kat |

It is realy a great program for real time chats, though, one on one. Hey! CIUT Rules! It's still on, up, and sounding really clear!!! Yea! kat |

10 Aug 99 - 04:26 AM (#103617) Subject: RE: CIUT tonight. From: alison Sorry people having trouble getting the chat room to go.... it won't let me be two people at the same time...... so I ahve to swap around between the two... and I have no idea how to know if oterhs are online...... my suggestion is.. if there are people ther who want to chat in a folk room .. contact me on ICQ#16719177 to see if I'm online.. and I'll open up the room.... I don't have to be in the room for you to chat in it.. but i do have to open it I think, (although maybe not... you got in Duane when I was offline didn't you?)... and it will close when the last one leaves Try it and let me know.... Tony and Kat.. it is no different from one on one chat..... when you register you look for "add users" and put either of my numbers in, if I'm online it'll show it in your box, all you need to do is left click on it and select "ICQ chat".. that's all there is to it. If you come through to my personal number it'll tell you that you need authorisation from me... that's easy enough... you don't need authorisation for the chat room. I'm going to have to get someone online so I can test it out. Any hints Max? slainte alison |
