My lilacs have bloomed so beautifully but they are turning brown from the middle of the blossoms. They've been out only a few days so I know something is wrong. Does anyone have any knowledge or experience about this? (I'm in Washington state USA so they're well watered by nature) Thanks for any suggestions, Margo |

Here in the southeast, Lilacs are more prone to problems in wet, warm, humid conditions than in cooler, drier conditions. I wonder about a blight or other fungal disease. Have you inspected the blooms with a magnifying glass to look for critters? Any other symptoms of problems on the leaves or bark? Hollow stems? |
