23 Apr 10 - 05:41 PM (#2892985) Subject: New song - olddude From: olddude Couldn't sleep last night, I wrote this one "I saw the lights on the sea" Lights on the Sea - oldude Lights on the Sea by Dan O'Connell I saw the lights on the sea We were dancing to music it's just you and me I can see the waves, I can feel the wind Our bodies softly moving to the sound that lies within I can feel my heart, it's beating like a drum In the quiet of the moment when our bodies move as one I saw the lights on the sea reflections of star light in the warm summer breeze I can hear your voice, whisper in my ear shades of darkness falling and I'm so glad we're here I saw the lights on the sea Chorus Every night it's the same old dream I'm taken to that place The warm sand on our feet and locked in our embrace Dancing to the music of the wind and rolling waves The star light off the ocean, reflecting on her face I saw the lights on the sea No one around us it's just you and me I can feel your warmth, Your softly flowing hair your gentle hands upon me in the warm and salty air I saw the lights on the sea Chorus |

I'm not gonna make any of my nitpickin' comments at all. If you have any notion of polishing it any, do so very, very gently; if you mess it up, I'll come after ya! Dean |

23 Apr 10 - 11:29 PM (#2893201) Subject: RE: New song - olddude (Lights on the Sea) From: katlaughing Dan, I noticed a couple of places where you sing the words slightly differently than what you've posted. Please let me know if you want me to change them. Here's what I noticed..what you actually sang is in red (unless I'm goin' deef!*bg*): I saw the lights on the sea we were dancing to music it's just you and me I can see the waves, I can feel the wind Our bodies softly moving to the sound that lies within I can feel my heart, it's beating like a drum In the quiet of the moment (when) our bodies move as one Chorus Every night it's the same old dream I'm taken to that place The warm sand on our feet and locked in our embrace Dancing to the music of the wind and rolling waves The star light off the ocean, reflects (reflecting on) upon her face I am loving this even more with each listen! |
23 Apr 10 - 11:43 PM (#2893210) Subject: RE: New song - olddude (Lights on the Sea) From: olddude Kat yes please change. I have a bad habit of changing the lyrics as I sing them, Probably because I scribble, post them on my wall and try to read them as I play LOL ... on a new song I don't know the words without reading and then I get caught up in playing and have to improvise ... I kinda like how it came out so I think I will make the words = the song Thanks so much Dan |
