23 Apr 10 - 05:59 PM (#2892999) Subject: BS: Sales and presentation of party leaders From: Alan Day This is not really posted as a political discussion, but more about the presentation of the policies by the different leaders. I was always told that as a Salesman you never mention the opposition, because it is a sign of weakness, it is negative as you cannot take people as idiots and by mentioning the opposition you are giving their policies and not your own. Margaret Thatcher , whatever you thought of her politics was a master (or should that be Mistress)of the art of putting over her policies, if the interviewer mentioned the opposition she would say she was not interested in the opposition her policies were and then she would list them one by one. Listening to Gordon Brown this evening all he could do was mention the Conservatives , He is showing that He is scared by his negative attitude. I would be interested if you share my views on this subject. Al |
