I installed ABP from Firefox, and it got rid of these bloody Google ads. Now I find they are back again. Does anybody know why, and how I can get rid of them again, PLEASE.

The particular filters for the ads - the filters for mudcat.org - need to be enabled.

It's working as usual for me.

I don't know, John. It's working here. Maybe you enabled ads by accident? Maybe it's the list you're subscribed to or, if you entered the addresses yourself, something changed.

Try using NoScript as well.

Hey, thanks for that, Giok! I didn't know about abp and now I have my ad-free page back :)

What's wrong with the ads? Don't they pay something to mudcat?

Yup, but we don't need to see them, for them to help pay the bills.

I was OK with the ads until they proliferated to the point where they significantly slowed my system down. Like some commercials on TV--if they get obnoxious enough to trigger me to hit 'mute' or change the channel, I don't even get a few.

It's an add-on for Mozilla Firefox, Tam.
First install Firefox, then look for AdBlock Plus. Works brilliantly!

Shame it doesn't work on Spotify... then it would be perfect!
