BS: Well, Frost My Willie Burger!!!

Don't ask me???

First of all I hadn't thought of this goofy little late 50's phrase in years...

Second, I recall being sent to the principle's office in 9th grade for telling my science teacher to "Frost my willie burger" and...

Third, I don't have clue what it meant...

Just popped into my mind yesterday while I was doing mindless tractor work and I ain't been able to get it out... Maybe posting this will help???

I donno???

B~

Late 50's, John... That was well before the Big Mac...

Sure it wasn't 'Wimpy Burger"? Made me remember the comic strip- what was it - Popeye?

Just a suggestion .....
putting frosting on a cake is a final superlative finish; I imagine topping a Willy burger would imply something of the sort?

Not heard before- what did the principal tell you? Or did he bluff and puff?

Guess- a milquetoast "Frost my balls."

Here's Why I Mentioned Wimpy Burgers

There was a building firm in the UK, called WIMPEY.
It was suggested that this stood for; 'We Import More Paddys Every Year', because of the preponderance of Irishmen who worked in the building trade in those days.

Winpy in America will always be associated with the Popeye character (see Ebbie's link). And America's favorite food (or mine, at any rate).
Made with ground bison, oregano, a little flour. Oven-cooked to leave just a touch of pink, served in a good bun (large) with sliced red onion and sliced tomato, sliced old cheddar, Hunt's tomato sauce and a little salt.

Undercooked? A little salmonella adds flavor! Develop tolerance!

`A little salmonella adds flavor!`

Too right, Q. The problem is being able to afford female salmon.

Bobert ol' buddy, I was startin' high school in 1959 and I (I hate to tell you this) I never heard that expression until you posted it here. 'Course, I wasn't in no big city like you were.

Wooly Booger perhaps? The term has several slang usages but one of them is slang for vagina.

Just a thought.......

After reading U.K. posters here for a few years, I can't read the thread title without getting the bone-chilling thought of a burger consisting of ground "willy".

I've been trying not to mention it - is it something to do with a certain Mr Bobbitt?

Wimpy Burgers??? Well, Wimpy was that charcater who always wanted to borrow a hamburger and promised to repay on Tueaday... I remember him well.. Kinda large 'round the tummy...

Well, this does have me in a quandry as it seems that no one has ever heard the phrase???

Sheet fires, folks... Where ya'll been??? Riding the dryers in the all night coin laundry for the last 60 years, 'er what??? Yeah, I guess that don't make no sense either... Ya'll ever ride dryers???

Like Frogprince says.
In Scotland, or anywhere Billy Connolly has a fan, there is blood running cold!
