There's a hole in the bottom of the sea.
There's a hole in the bottom of the sea.
There's a hole, there's a hole,
There's a hole in the bottom of the sea.

There's oil in the hole in the bottom of the sea.
There's oil in the hole in the bottom of the sea.
There's a hole, there's a hole,
There's a hole in the bottom of the sea.
...

There's death on the land and there's death in the water from the oil in the hole in the bottom of the sea.
... There's death, there's death,
From the hole in the bottom of the sea.

You have to say something about the plugs they're trying to install, I suppose. The ads I'm seeing are for floor refinishing and wood sealer.

Get real! Eleven men are dead, others are in danger as they attempt to plug the well. Beautiful animals are dying miserable deaths.

This is not the time to get snide over how much smarter you think you are.

What powers the computers you are writing on? Fossil fuels. What are their cases made of? Petroleum-based products. Get real.

Needn't be that way - Wooden computer case, with outline of how to build it. Looks pretty good too.

There's a guitar-playing roughneck
Sittin' on a gangplank
Knowin' that he's outflanked
Wishin' for a sandbank
Tryin' to find the "off" crank
For the crude oil comin' from
The hole in the bottom of the sea.

Here's a gulf coast landfall
Lookin' like a tar pit
Smellin' like an arm pit
Critters in their death fits
Wishin' they could just split
From the sticky gunk comin'
From the hole in the bottom of the sea.

You'd think some Texan would have found a big enough cork by now....

leenia, getting real involves realising that the tragedy could have been prevented in the first place if BP had been obliged to install the same failsafe systems which have prevented similar tragedies occurring in Europena waters over the last 30 years.
