Origins: The Auctioneer - Hank Snow?

I know that Leroy Vandyke sang and was(is) "The Auctioneer"! Here come the big "but", didn't Hank Snow sing it too? I've got Hank stuck in my ear, but I can't find a version.

Hank recorded it but VanDyke had the hit.

I never heard Hank sing it. I can hear him though in my subconscious mind.

Why he talked so fast, explained. More than you wanted to know about how to "make yer mark and be a Nauctioneer."

I once heard "The Touch of The Masters Hand" done as a monologue on
Radio Eirin back in the early 50s. The performer was called Dinjoe,
if I remember rightly, and dollars were replaced by pounds.
It certainly made a profound impression on me.
Until the links came up on this thread I had never seen it in print
and I assumed it was an original composition by the performer.
Joe.
