21 May 10 - 10:47 AM (#2911275) Subject: RE: BS: new book on the market From: catspaw49 I have a copy and the exact paragraph where Kendall is mentioned I have copied below: "Maine is a place rife with individuals. The spirit of the American notion of individual liberty is alive and well with Maine's population of unique characters. Kendall Morse is a perfect example. His life is a series of passionate pursuits from storytelling to sailing to old cars to folk music. What sets Morse apart from the rest though is his distinction as a llama fucker and for this alone he is known across the land." Quite a tribute Kendall.......My congratulations! Spaw |

22 May 10 - 08:42 AM (#2911911) Subject: RE: BS: new book on the market: Maine 101 From: Ed T Well....maybe because a few items from Nova Scotia are repackaged and sold as product of Maine. One such example is Nova Scotia caught lobsters...they move accross the border and are rebranded "Maine lobsters". For some odd reason these crustaceans fetch a higher price in the marketplace if branded as such:) On the other hand, inferior Maine lobsters (and, believe it or not, there are a large number) are shipped to Canada, cooked and the meat removed and canned (mostly the frozen 11.3 oz cans), as product of Canada. |
