23 May 10 - 05:14 PM (#2912709) Subject: What happened to Giggety From: Brian May I heard a lousy, iffy cassette tape 20 odd years ago with a group of musicians singing about Black Country (UK) themes, narrow boats, chain making, industrial revolution stuff etc. They were called Giggety (I think). The songs were great, the tape was crap. Anyone firstly know them, and is there any way I can buy their music? Any help greatly appreciated. |

24 May 10 - 11:49 AM (#2913178) Subject: RE: What happened to Giggety From: Brian May Yes! I have made contact and VERY soon their recently digitised album will be available on CD. Any more details can be found out by contacting : brian@langtry.fslife.co.uk That's good news indeed as the album is outstanding, but I've not heard it for 25 years or so. They deserve the advertising. . . Thanks for all your help. |
28 May 10 - 04:55 PM (#2916213) Subject: RE: What happened to Giggety From: Brian May My CD album arrived today from Brian Langtry. It's like an old friend. My wife and I hadn't heard this album for about 20 years we think. The email is above, if you want to listen to some fun and meaningful folk songs, some descriptions of life in the industrial age and some poignant poems. There's humour, pathos and great musicians, treat yourself. |
