It contained the lyrics: I go saling, saling, garage saling I keep my eyes on the side of the road For the cardboard signs on the telephone poles I go saling on. I've bought knick knacks, bric a brac, I even once bought a Pontiac It didn't run but I painted it baby blue (It looked so good on the lawn) ...I'm all out of room, all out of money, I don't know how to break this to you Honey, But I think you're gonna have to find a place of your own Does any of this sound familiar? Who wrote it? Where can I find the lyrics? |

Also, it is covered by Noah & Irene Carver on their CD, "You're Always There" (1999) and by Michelle & Scott Dalziel. (I have been unable to discover on what album; I suspect it is out of print.) |

I recall it started with: Some folks I know spend their Saturdays Sitting at home watching football games Others head over to Mom's for a home-cooked meal I like to get out the classifieds Gas up the car for a nice long ride With a fist full of cash, ready to make some deals. And I go sale-ing... |

She donated all the money to Casey House, a Toronto provider of health care for people living (and dying) with HIV/AIDS. My cousin Jerry, Vera's youngest son, died there on Christmas day, 1980. Vera's 100th birthday is just around the corner and I'd like to sing this song for her. |

The song I also had on there that I can’t find sounded like Madeline Kahn singing about the Mall. Does that ring a bell with anyone? :( |

Either way, it doesn't ring a bell with me; just that I picked up the latter as a possible topic for a song and now the way you write it allows a different interpretation (though I'm not sure what to sing about The Mall).
