The room is set away from the main bar and is capable of holding a goodly number. Advertising is very local to Padstow and is aimed at those on holiday as well as locals and will accommodate siblings If you happen to be in the area pop along The Social club management are most supportive and a folk club atmosphere ethos will be respected Totally acoustic no mics This model worked succesfully in previous years though there has been a lapse in recent times Inspired by the memory and encouragement of Mervyn Vincent |

It sounds just like the folk club John Buckingham ran at the back of the Golden Lion many years ago. I used to go along to Rogues Corner when Margaret Brenton was there, but that was much more intimate. We would sing "The sweet notes of the nightingale flooooow" while thinking of Charlie Bate.
