Yes, its the tenth year. I hope that we'll see all our friends and regulars there. We have a great line up and are doing the appropriate dances for the weather.

Are you going?

I'd love to be there, but I've not heard back from the organisers again this year so I guess I gotta assume at this late stage that I'm not needed. Shame, cos it's one of the best...

The website has all the artists and as I haven't been given a running order can't publish one. This is usually updated right up until the day so we can incorporate changes at the last minute.

If you havent seen the website you can from:-HERE!

John has decided it's time we returned! Just when you thought it was safe. Do I bring chocolates?

Tig - I was going to suggest that your question was self-answering, until I remembered that there was a heatwave at Alcester 3 or 4 years ago that would make that a "Do I bring chocolates or chocolate sauce?" question...

As far as I know there ought to be a MudGather, but without having any program information it'll be difficult to give any forwarning here. I'll be taking some chocolate anyway, who else will be coming????

The Mudgather would appear to be about 4.00 or 4.15 to 5.30 Saturday in the Nursery Room (while mudcatters Two of a Hind are MC-ing the singaround in the Holly Bush).

If the weather permits, the canopy outside the bar is a good spot, and it's close to the beer. :)

Thanks Snuffy, that'll do nicely. Shame about the singaround (there'll always be a program clash), maybe Catters can go to both?

Think I'll be doing some singing over the weekend, it'll be good to see some friendly faces if anyone can get along!

And I'm running Herbaceous Border in the Holly Bush Garden 1.00-2.00pm both days if anyone would like to come along and dance or play.

In fact I am still looking for a musician to play for either or both days. I've lost a few to the morris do in Evesham that weekend. If you know of anyone please PM Rattler with details. (I shan't have access to PMs til after Alcester). Or you could pass the info to Marje Stanley who knows I am looking for someone. Both know how to contact me.

Who's running the folk club this year, we helped out in February but it seems we are going to be somewhere else if Snuffy is correct.

Another great weekend in Alcester - many thanks to Marje and everyone who's made such a special festival go on for 10 years! So many good concerts - if only we could have been in three places at once. Also thanks to Les Sullivan for getting us up on stage to sing with him and to MGAS for a great set just before the hiring fair, (especially as that gave us a chance to warm our voices up for the hiring fair). Apologies for missing the Mudgather, but we desperately needed food (not just chocolate) after the hiring fair... Kitty and Derek

Marj & Dave thanks for organising a wonderful weekend once again, Ann and myself had a great time, good music, good company, good beer/weather. We realy enjoyed running the Folk Club in the nursery, something very special for us knowing Dave so well, and also one of the singarounds in the Holly Bush, thanks to all those who stayed to sing GU3, Gilly & Tony K, Alhambra,Jenny and many more whose names escape me. Hope to see you all again soon or back at Alcester in February and we're very pleased to be offerd the opportunity to perform in the concert in February, thanks.

A great festival with some chances to see brilliant guests and enjoy a good sing. Sorry to have missed the gather but you can't be in two places at once.

Thanks to all involved in the organisation - I loved the 'quick' clear away after the big sing :-0.

Let's hope they DO manage to stop the Grieg becoming a housing estate.

What a great festival that lovely feeling of friends getting together for a good time, of course the fact that it appears effortless is down to the hard work of Marje Dave and the team, The Greig centre must not be demolished it is a valuable resource someone should make it a listed building........see you in Feb.

Yes a really great festival and thanks everyone for stopping me from feeling lonely. I don't think I've ever talked for so long to so many people as I always let Dave have his head and I sort of melted into the background. Thankyou all.

GOOOD wan't it, eh?

Utterly Amazed at the scurrilous goings-on at the Big Sing ... and seeing Mr James getting carried away at the end was just too much for Herself, the whole thing brought tears to her cheeks ....

Thanks folks !
