From: Arthur_itus I am interested to know if anybody has sent any of their children as residential for a week to KG Adventure Worksop UK or any other location in the UK.? If so, how did you find them. Ours did when I was a YW. We took groups of young people aged 13 - 18 to a wide range of centres, including the Peak District, rural Lincolnshire and Jersey. All properly planned and controlled, and great fun. Having said that, it's 14 years since I gave YW up, and with the rise of the PC-Loonies in YW, and the resultant growth of the 'Risk-Assessment Culture' they might not take people away any more in case someone breaks a fingernail, or gets a scratch or - OMG, dare I even suggest it - falls over and bruises themselves!! :-) :-) |

I know that groups in deprived areas, schools and other groups can book in at these Klub Group locations. I dare say that those groups are funded and it costs now't. I know the British Legion funds children who have parents who are in the forces to go to the above. I will do a bit more investigation. Thanks Arthur |
