Several years ago a bull moose swam about a mile to a small island of Cape Breton. It was believed by government naturalists that he responded to a mating call from the island's foghorn. I horny story but true!

My sister has a lot of tree frogs near her place, but the turkeys weren't interested.

Now I met a lady who was horrified when a rabbit tried to mate with her cat. The cat was very willing. The lady was shocked and, she told me, called the vet to see if she would have a "cabbit".

No, but maybe a "rat".

The toms were probably thinking the frogs were hens, Bobert. I think the toms musta been hard of hearin' or somethin'.

We had a lost young Elephant Seal here who was trying to court the local cows. Elephant seals don't normally come here.

Particularly female ones.

God Forbid!

Christmas would never be the same again.

Imagine how you would go about catching a wet, slippery bird that can jump twenty five feet.

Was the turkey giving the frog a gobble?

They could have made a lovely couple, I think. And their offspring would be known as "fruckeys".

Charmion, I had a workmate who had a T-shirt with the legend:
'It's hard to fly like an Eagle when you work with Turkeys!'

He wasn't very popular.

..it's all fun and games until the eggs are born.

Whether she's frog or turkey, the female never quite recovers. She's either shredded or drowned in the process of creating a family.

The chirps of the woodland toads here in the spring have a mating song that starts with a single note and a magor third then adds an extra note week after week until the main event arrives and a major seven augmented 5th chord is sounded at the peak of mating season. The chord is compelling in its volume and urgency for resolution.

Well, ol' Tom is gonna have himself a good ol' day... We had a gully-washer of a rain yesterday and it half filled my dry pond... So last night the frogs dug themselves outta the mud and they are down there just carryin' on this mornin'...

Gull-dang, Mr ex-presidential-candidate Bober5t. You mountain folk can turn anything into porn! I suppose that it gits kinds quiet up in those hollars, huh?
If those two actually go it on the results could be frightening. Imagine the sight of turkey-frogs hopping and flying around the yard, their big sticky tongues snapping up mega-mosquitoes from the side of the feed lot, chirping and gobbling while they flap their way over the fence to prey on the chickens next door. The mega-mosquitoes would be a mistaken experiment by Monsanto that would have terrible consequences later.

Yeah, Skivz... Does get kinda quiet up here but...

... I was down below this afternoon and them frogs was horny... I mean, they only mate once a year and it's usually i April but these guys had dig in 'casue the pond was dry (at least looked dry) so I reckon they hadn't *had any* for going on 15 months... Now I heard ol' Tom early when the frogs were just getting started but when they all got it going I reckon scared Tom the heck outta here... I mean, he would have prolly looked like Marilyn Monroe in a 50s GI camp to them frogs... Ol' Tom prolly just sneaked away... I woulda... Heck, I didn't want to get too close to them frogs myself... I mean, I just read in the National Enguirer about...

Nevermind, gonna give me bad dreams...
