New York singers session

Does anyone know of any traditional singing sessions in the New York area? I am interested in attending one if there is. I can't find any listed online. I am particularly looking for an unaccompanied singing session. I am a singer who also accompanies myself on different instruments, so a session with instrumentation is ok too.

You might contact the folks at the Folk Music Society of New York--
http://www.minstrelrecords.com/fmsny/index.html
and
http://www.minstrelrecords.com/fmsny/Summary.html

Beside what's listed in their newsletter and on their website, some may know of other opportunities to sing.

There is a monthly singing session this Sunday at Banjo Jim's www.banjojims.com/gigs.htm (scroll down to Sunday). Don Meade runs an Irish session at the Landmark Tavern every Monday 7-11. The occasional song is allowed.

The Folk Music Society of NY runs 3 sessions of informal participatory singing every month in New York City, an open sing, a chantey sing, and a sacred harp sing. We also have singing parties about once every month or two at people's homes. The next party will be in early August. See our web site at www.folkmusicny.org for dates and locations. We also have concerts, weekends, and an annual festival, Eisteddfod, November 5-7 this year.
In addition, Ken Schatz is running a monthly singing session at Banjo Jims on one Sunday night a month. That may be the event cited above.
