Lyr Req: Woolly Booger (Tom Paxton)

Somewhere back in my long ago I remember a Tom Paxton kids' song that starts "do you know where the woolly booger (or bugger?) goes?"

The idea of the song is that you think it's something gross then it turns out to be something mundane -- maybe a caterpillar.

(I was delighted when Facebook suggested I become friends with Paxton because we have a certain number of friends in common! Didn't take it up because he doesn't know me from Adam, but he's always been one of my musical heroes.)

How did this request get overlooked?

Here's my transcription from a sound file at Yahoo! music:

WOOLLY BOOGER
(Tom Paxton)

1. Tell me, where did the woolly booger go?
He was here about a half an hour ago.
He was very green, I know,
And he was sittin' on your toe.
Tell me, where did the woolly booger go?
Did he go, did he go,
Tell me, where did the woolly booger go?

2. Where can the woolly booger be?
He was higgly-wiggly-squiggly as can be.
He looked awfully big to me,
And he was sittin' on your knee.
Tell me, where can the woolly booger be?
Can he be, can he be,
Tell me, where can the woolly booger be?

3. Oh, where is that woolly booger now?
Did he get inside your t-shirt anyhow?
Is he crawling east or west?
Is he crawling on your chest?
Tell me, where is that woolly booger now?
Is he now, is he now,
Tell me, where is that woolly booger now?

4. Oh, where did that woolly booger hide?
Did it go for a woolly-booger ride?
Do you find it hard to hear?
Is it hiding in your ear?
Tell me, where did that woolly booger hide?
Did it hide, did it hide,
Tell me, where did that woolly booger hide?

5. Now I know where the woolly boogers go.
Shall I tell you the secret so you'll know?
See it floating in the sky.
It became a butterfly.
Now you know where the woolly boogers go.
Now you know, now you know,
Now you know where the woolly boogers go.
See it floating in the sky.
It became a butterfly.
Now you know where the woolly boogers go.

Regarding Facebook:

I'm not a Facebook user myself, but here's what I was told by a musician friend of mine:

If you're a musician (or, I suppose, politician, actor, etc.), you should set up a category called "fans." Then people can become your "fan" without being your "friend." It's like being a friend, but the communication is one-way. The fan gets notified of everything the musician does, but the musician doesn't get notified of everything the fan does. And the musician doesn't have to accept each individual "fan" request.

The drawback, I suppose, is that you don't want to be posting any personal information that you don't want all your fans to see. And you don't want to be posting such trivia (i.e. stuff that only your friends would understand or care about) that your fans get bored with you.
