MySpace music problem

Yesterday and today when I looked at the 3 MySpace sites that I run, the panel that plays the music tracks did not appear. Is anyone else having the same problem?

They have changed the format, and myspace is always horribly slow to load, maybe it was just not working while they were changing it.

Just done a myspace search for Vic Smith, if you are the same Vic from the Sussex Pistols, I'm sure you will be pleased to hear it's working fine now (at least in Suffolk)

Now I see there's a BUY botton next to each track though it doesn't seem to do anything, also a SHARE
There's far too much unnecessary junk on MySpace probably slowing it down

How does one set up a myspace music page? I have the normal myspace page, but every time I try to set up a music one, it turns out not to be a music page.

Virginia,
open myspace, click on 'sign up' (top right) on the page that opens, ignore the big box headed sign up for myspace and look at the smaller box on the right of the page headed 'profile types' click on 'if you are a musician, sign up here' and follow the instructions through. you will then be able to set up a music page, where you will be able to upload your songs etc.

Hope that helps, come and be friends with us when you are done, then we will know it has been a success.

I am indeed. Thanks for that and glad that it is working. It makes me think think that I must somehow have configured ny computer differently. I have emailed the MySpace helpline.

I have the same problem or, rather, most parts of the panel are corrupted.

It's no big deal as there are no tracks there at the moment. Perhaps, someone can confirm that it's OK to view from another computer?

Vic, if you find a solution, please let us knoW..   :-)

Johnny J, sadly that doesn't seem to work, even in Suffolk!

It looks as though it is going to load, but then vanishes, tried refreshing the page, but still the same.

as per previous posts, myspace have changed the music player, so maybe it is still a work in progress?

Pleased to say our one appears to be working though

It works on mine as does everybody elses I've tried.

However, it's our own site which appears to be acting up...????

All the sites mentioned work fine here. Sorry if I'm stating the obvious but have you all tried clearing your browser's cache (history)?

Mmm, I've just done that to no avail.

Also, I've tried connecting with Fire Fox instead of IE8 but it's just the same.

Johnny J, might be worth uploading an mp3 and see if it then works properly, it may be that the music player only works if there is something for it to play, just a thought.

Vic, tried a few of our friends pages at random, and another look at the Sussex Pistols, all functioning correctly, looks like the problem may be at your end. Hope you get it sorted.

'Pistols' sound excellent by the way, what are the other two pages?

Very strange. From here, IE7, Firefox and Google Chrome all display the sites without problem.

Well Guest Ed gave me the idea of using another browser.... and I find that sites load on IE8 but not on Firefox, my default browser.

However as RTim has posted "they appear to have changed the format AGAIN!!" so now my thinking is that Myspace have set up this new format and not allowed for the differences in the way that IE and Firefox operate.

The old saying, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" come to mind.
