I am trying to download a tune to incorporate into an e-mail as the background sound.

Anyone know how?

Tune I want to use is Nick Nack paddywack give a dog a bone ... as basic as can be - nothing fancy needed.

Thanks!

MASH - What software have you ? and how are you intending to get it on your 'puter in the first place ?
I have an Olympus DS30 that will download straight to my 'My Music' page , from whence it is easy to Attach to an E mail .

Software? Just usual windows stuff. Why? Can't I just click on a link and attach it?

Because you have to get it on YOUR computer before you can E mail it !

I do this on a regular basis. Just make sure you compress it to MP3 if it is a WAV file, otherwise it takes too long to load on the receiver's side.

It is fun to do with a recording of your voice...and startles the dickins out of the reader....especially if it is delayed with silence before and pops out unexpectedly.

In OutLook - it is Format-Background-Sound.....the same can be done with moving gifs etc. added to the background. It makes for nice holiday and birthday e-mails.

If...the music comes through your speakers...you can capture the sound with the program at ....davee.com

Have Fun.

Sincerely,
Gargoyle

Several answers applicable to attaching a tune to an email, but the original question included "how do I make it play as background music to the email?"

I have occasionally received email with automatically playing background music; but since I consider it rude and delete them immediately (nearly always without reading) I don't have a sample to examine how it was done.

If the original poster intended to ask how to include autoplay background music, the answers given appear to be incomplete.(?)

I don't know about Outlook but most webmail systems won't play the music unless the sender is already on the recipients "safe sender" list.

I suspect that if you try it then friends will be ringing up to tell you about the "virus" on your PC and strangers will hit the "block sender" button.
