songs of contempt

Subject: songs of contempt
From: Thomas Stern

Please let me know of songs (and who/where they are
recorded) expressing contempt or abhorrence for the social and/or political structures of our day.
Some examples of what I am seeking:
Richard Farina - House un-American Blues Activity Dream
   Michelle Shocked - Ugly American
Iris DeMent - Wasteland of The Free
Swamp Dogg - They Crowned an Idiot King
Buffy St. Marie - No No Keshagesh; Working For The Government

Thanks, Thomas.

Chumbawamba

Enough is Enough

On Ebay

Homophobia

British Colonialism and the BBC

In fact quite a lot by Chumbawamba from the early anarcho punk years to the current acoustic folk is at the very least tinged with social commentary if not rife with it.

I am a follower.

Small Circle of Friends is another one.....I loved Phil Ochs' biting satire....really gets the point across.   I think Jello Biafra followed well in his footsteps. Jello and Mojo Nixon also recorded an updated version of Love Me I'm a Liberal.
