Somewhere there exists a tape of the gig - drowned out no doubt by the rain hammering on the marquee! Actually, CS - at that very festival I remember these weekend hippy types singing Beatles songs all night near our tent so we started up with a very feral Go Into a Hare by way of friendly competition. One the girls got very upset - as well she might - screaming at us to stop spoiling the vibe. Definitely 1985, because I remember Fela Kuti being there the year before - that truly was a spectacle to behold... |

The Dr Who theme is a case in point - composed by Ron Grainer, immortalised by Delia Derbyshire and enshined as sacred lore in the hearts everyone who's ever heard it with countless variations thereof as a consequence - just check YouTube! |
