As a collector of Big Band material, I have collected the recordings of hundreds of British Big Bands (Ted Heath, etc) but have never found a single book on them. Can anyone direct me to one?

If you would like to try old fashioned technology you could always drop a line to Mr John West, Sentimental Journey Programme, Australian Broadcasting Commission, Sydney, Australia, 2000.

Until retiring recently he has been an oracle on all sorts of old music - including American, British and Aussie big bands. I would be sure that the ABC would still forward mail to him. Best that I can offer.

Regards John
