Here is another Burl Ives song for which I really would like to have the lyrics. Could anyone help me?

You can download it at that site. It`s on The Nashville Years, Vol. 4. Cannot locate lyrics anywhere. Also, though it makes little difference to Mr Google, the definite article is part of the title.

Allmusic.com says it was written by Thomas Hall.

I listened to a sample and this is what I heard:

(Funny you and funny little me.)
Act one has a funny little song.
The rhythm and the music is [sic] so wrong.
See the silly little people dance,
Starting up a silly little romance;
And just as they do in real life,
Funny man takes a [silly little wife(?)]...

Act Two of the funny little show
as all little silly stories go
funny little pretty girl cries
funny little sad man sighs
the funny marriage didn't work so well
now the silly little home is like a cell.

Act Three of the funny little show
the lights on the little stage are low
the funny silly little girl and boy
are dividing up the silly little toys.

And as the curtain falls, we can see
Sorry you and sorry little me.

(This was my favorite song as a boy...my parents had the 45)
