11 Jul 10 - 08:57 PM (#2943703) Subject: Folklore: Fake Sourdough From: The Fooles Troupe I called this 'Folklore', but it might be a BS thread.... I notice that the word Sourdough is even used by some Folkies for the overtones ... :-) Sourdough bread has a long held place in some cultures (hence my choice of a Folklore tag), because it is supposed to be 'good' for us, but it is becoming more common that it is being faked - and sold to us at a higher ripoff price - by just adding 'flavourings' to 'normal' bread dough. Apparently it is claimed that the dough has a natural antibiotic property, hence the commercial need for money making ripoffs to con us... :-) WOW! Aussie TV has apparently Googled this 'scandal' and now is trying to make a big sensation stirring fuss about it... sigh.... |

He had a beautiful singing voice and his son went on to become Michael Jackson after he washed the shoe polish off his skin. What tangled webs we weave! Art |
