19 Jul 10 - 10:51 AM (#2947628) Subject: RE: Fiddle festival Aberdeen From: GUEST,Derek Schofield just on my way home from the fiddle festival (billed as the North Atlantic Fiddle Convention). Fantastic! masses of workshops on all manner of styles, plus various dance workshops, a conference and performances from Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Hass, Bruce Molsky, Paul Anderson, England's own Paul Burgess (and Will Duke on concertina) and Sophie & Emily Ball, plus Cape Breton, Newfoundland, US, Swedish, Norwegian....... etc etc. Excellent atmosphere. Next one - perhaps in Derry in 2013!! Derek |
