July Song Session at the Press Room (NH)

The monthly shanty/forebitter/ballad session will happen this Saturday, 17 June at the Press Room in Portsmouth NH, from 3:30 to 7:30 PM.

Some of our regulars will be out of the area, or otherwise occupied, but we can still get the rafters ringing.

See you on Saturday - Tom

Sorry to miss this one but it was the only date we could get for the Roll & Go CD Release Party and Concert in Portland at the Maine Irish Heritage Center.

See you all in August.

I am Seamus sitting this weekend and don't expect to make it down for this one but one never knows.

I'm hoping to get there early enough to do a quick look-see at the Bow Street Fair a couple blocks away -- BEFORE the shanty sing.

Just got a call from Tom (8:10) -- he locked his keys in his car. AAA is coming to bail him out (he says that's more efficient than me coming from Nottingham with the key).

AFGO, I think.

New experience for Tom.

Glad I don't have to drive to Portsmouth, though. Felt decidedly "under the weather" (literally -- I think it's the heat and humidity) all day, so I missed the shanty sing. Slept most of the afternoon. Still not feeling great, but I hope tomorrow is better as I have a longer Sunday than usual at work.

Ach!

We got a positive report from Chris who actually drive up from Portsmouth, after the session, to attend the second set of the Roll & Go CD Release Party and Concert in Portland. There was still cake and lemonade available, not to mention the funny hats and the pyramid of shiny Look Out! CD's.

Looking forward to the August session at the Press Room.

Cheerily,
Charley Noble
