If you really want to, anybody around here is welcome to it. Would love to hear how it sounds from someone who actually has some blues chops. My wife and I gave it one try, acapella, at the Flint (Michigan) Folklore Society a few weeks ago, bringing the rest of the crowd in on the repeats, and I do think it went over pretty well.

The two on the left were great, but I couldn't really hear the old geezer on the right - the one with the hat, beard and the mic stand in his face. Could it possibly have been Leadfingers? I seen him in the flesh one time, and he was reaaall sexy...

Great stuff! :-)

Yeah, that's Leadfingers, Flyzer... He playin'a whistle...

Yo, ol'ster... I got so many redneck hats that I can't count um... My favorite is one I got a long time ago on my first trip to Mississippi... I was trying to make Memphis from Harpers Ferry, Wes Ginny and gave out west of Nashville an' had to stop and go to sleep... Pulled off in Bucksnort, Tennessee... Next mornin' discovered that Busksnort is one cheap motel, one genarl store and one refrigerated box from an ol' box truck, sans the truck for storin' yer dead deer in... The general store had them hats that gotta buck piccure and "Busksnort, Tennessee" in script on it... I got the black one with whte letters... Now if that don't make a redneck with a John Deer, "John Deer green", green with envy than nuthin' does...

Well, hail, ol'ster... I thinks that you half way to Redneckville... Maybe we get together and drag race yer John Deer and my Kabuta, then get drunk afterwards...

I mean, being' a redneck is lotta work... I mean, ya' gotta learnt up some 45 NASCAR race can umbers and be able to put them numbers with the names of the drivers... That ain't easy as it used to be... I mean, they got drivers that folks ain't never heard of... No Fred Lorenzen or Junior Johnson in this bunch, no sir...

So, I'd have to say to anyone thinking of enterin' Redneck Nation without being properly learnt up might as well just go off to Pakistan to get bin Laughin'... But there is hope fir ya'll 'cause ol' bobert gonna offer this one time only offer... Fir a mere sum of ...

...only $999.00 you can enjoy one week livin' in a real life trailer, drenking moonshine everynight, pickin' geetar bewteen watching 24/7 NASCAR an' goin' down to Uncle Bucks an' gettin' in some serious pool playin' and maybe some even more serious fist fightin' with a couple o' other rednecks over somethin' as eartyhly important as the dwell on the ' 63 Chevy 327 motor...

(Spit)

Sign up now and we'll also throw in a $50 gift certificate to Alan's Tatoo joint where Alan is said to the best in the business... Well, that's what the Gray boys say... I donno but I heard he was good tatooin'... Lot better than Sherman Green's that he gave hisseff back in 4th grade where he did this cross and he was lookin' down at his arm at the time an', well... The tatoo is upside down... Think Peter here, upside down...

No matter... Yer gettin' the tatoo with the package so...

...order now and avoid the rush!!!

Laughing ... OMG ... that was priceless ...

Well, ol'ster, I hate to tell ya' that yer Taurus is in Bobert's "WORST FIVE" of cars ever built...

1. The Pegout, which I think is French for "Pig rot"...

2. Any car wired with Lucas Electrics...

3. Every Chrysker product made for the last 25 or 30 years... Okay, maybe 35 years...

4. The Chevy Cevette, which BTW, my couzin Rufus has an acre full of... And...

... 5... the Ford Taurus... These cars were junk when they rolled off the assembly plant floor and went downhill from there...

But have ya'll seen the 2010 Tauris??? This baby is hot!!!

Bobster
indeed it is the top ten worst car .. I drive it cause well it still runs but when it dies .. it is out the door .. Me ... I wanna old Jeep love those things .. none of these SUV type stuff. Just the old rag top or removable hard top .. Jeeps .. Yup

Jeeps is cool. ol'ster... Lot cooler than Tauruses... And ya' can take 'um lotta places where Mr. Taurus ain't goin'... I used to have a '49 Jeepster... Remember them??? It was like a big station wagen with the jeep front end and a bigass box fir the rest of it... Also had a Commander which was way cool... Wish I still had 'um both...

BTW, back to the rendition of the Blind Lemon song... I was wrong in the intro... It is offically titled "One Kind Favor"... I learnt it up from the great Elenor Ellis back many a year ago... I usually do it more reverently seein' as it is a "dark" song but put a little Mississippi hill country kick to it 'cause we was "banding" and EJ and Lead needed somethin' to work with... The way I usually do it is closer to the way I recorded it for my CD... Check out the sample at CDBaby under "Sidewalk Bob"...

I dunno, Bobert; We've put a few miles on vacations on rented Sables, just Taurus's with an M on 'em, and they served well enough as plain granny-car transportation from place to place. Zero "cool" factor, true enough though. I don't see that any list of crap cars can be complete without including both the Chevy Vega amd the Yugo. I've heard that Vegas generally made it to the junkyard at about 40k miles. The Yugo soon proved to have an oil circulation problem (as if that was it's only problem) and Yugo just kept producing them that way anyhow.
