Hi All,
I'm looking for the music to a tune called "to an old rose" It was composed by North Dakota fiddler Joe Pancerzewski. It's a gorgeous tune you can find it on Seamus Egans album "When Juniper sleeps" If someone could point me in the direction of the music (or ABC's) that would be great.
thanks all
Gilly x

I have music for the tune, but not in digital form. If you send me your snail-mail address I can mail it to you. The tune is in the Voyager book "151 Brand New Old Time Fiddle Tunes" which contains a bunch of other great tunes by Joe, and which you can get for $10 from the Voyager website.

Hi, Louie-
Vivian posted only the one time, and didn't register - so I have no e-mail address for her. You can try to get her through Voyager Records.
If somebody can send me a MIDI or MP3, I'll post it.

Louie Roy send me this recording. I'll leave it up for a while, but we don't ordinarily leave recordings up forever. Anybody want to transcribe a MIDI file for permanent posting?
Thanks, Louie.

Is the tune copyrighted by North Dakota fiddler Joe Pancerzewski?

If it's public domain, I might care to work on the MIDI.

I am Joe's son and currently in New Zealand. I happened to be looking at some Google sites for my dad's music and noticed the request for the music for An Old Rose. Your best bet if you are still looking is to contact Phil and Vivian Williams who own Voyager Recordings in Seattle, Washington USA. You can get their contact details from their web site. They made all of my dad's recordings and his book of fiddle tunes which are still available. Dad passed away December 7, 1991, the 50th anniversary of Pearl Harbor Day.

If you want to contact me I can be reached at charlspa@msn.com
