29 Jul 10 - 04:12 AM (#2954306) Subject: RE: One More Parade - penny whistle notation From: Leadfingers Finally got a listen to the song - I would suggest you DONT play it on a D whistle as the You Tube I listened to was in D minor - NT an easy play with all the accidentals |
29 Jul 10 - 10:49 AM (#2954477) Subject: RE: One More Parade - penny whistle notation From: NJH I am willing to give it a try if I can get the penny whistle tabs I have been able to play some tricky tunes before on my D penny whistle. |
29 Jul 10 - 10:50 AM (#2954478) Subject: RE: One More Parade - penny whistle notation From: NJH actually I also have a C whistle if you think it would be easier in C I would take it in C note. |
29 Jul 10 - 12:23 PM (#2954541) Subject: RE: One More Parade - penny whistle notation From: Willie-O A C whistle might be good actually. Or an F whistle but they're not so easy to come by. Basic music theory: Dm is the relative minor of F major, so the notes on the F whistle will be correct for a tune in Dm. Since you clearly know how the tune goes, why don't you try and figure it out by ear? If you can figure out tricky whistle parts, you are probably past needing to find "tabs" for a single-note-melody instrument. Go ahead, take the leap. Certainly no harm in trying. W-O |
