Good as he is I always find Martyn Wyndham Read has this effect on me. Nice mellow voice, pleasant but all very similarly paced songs and i'm slipping away. Trouble is, jazz musicians know that happens, so once in a while they blast out something really loud & jarring, like one trumpet playing B while the other plays B-flat. |
