Lyric identification help needed -various songs

Hi all, I got this request from Nick, a carer at a community for adults with a range of learning difficulties. He attends Exmouth Folk Night with two of the residents. One Young lady, Sinha, who exhibits autistic behaviours, likes to perform, which we welcome. She plays a recorder or sings a song, which we are delighted to include.. The words are often recognisable in the context of the song tune, but would be hard to make out otherwise. She has picked up some new ones from somewhere, and her supporters would like to identify them so that they can help her learn them fully. This from Nick...any ideas?

I wonder if you can help us identify the songs containing the following lyrics which Simha has been reciting recently:

"We never to score at the black and the rose"

"What's giving birth to Christine"

"...down the glen"

"George take off that dress and put on your trousers"

Hope you can help.

"George take off that dress..." is from Richard Digance's Drag Queen Blues

"Down the glen" is maybe "The Foggy Dew" (or another version of it).

I googled. Both the identified songs are on this compilation cd so maybe the others are too?

OK- a long shot here, but the chorus of Boxing Match by the Black Country Three (track 6, disc 2 above) goes:

And it's come, all ye who listen to me
And never to scorn of the Black Country.

Could this be the original misheard as "We never to score at the black and the rose" (considering the Black country accents of the singers, too?)

(Lyrics here)
