I've been to Bantry Bay and I've been from Galway to Dublin Town but I haven't yet been to Derry Quay. We're off to Derry next week - but I can't find Derry Quay on a map. Can anyone tell me where it actually is.

I don't know that any place along the River Foyle is specifically referred to as Derry Quay. I may ask around for you. The present port is at Lisahally, but in the past ships would have sailed from the city side and there is now a dock for smaller boats near the city hall.

you've just missed the monthly singing session, but there will lunchtime music at the Verbal Arts Centre and other venues all next week (Maiden City Festival). There are normally sessions at Tinneys Bar and the Park Bar Tues night (the Park is a smaller session with a good bit of singing) and at Sandinos Thurs night and Sun evening (from approx 5-8 pm). Also nearby Muff Co Donegal session Sat afternoons at the Rock Bar. If you are already in Derry this weekend, there's bluegrass on the walls Sat 7 Aug, music at Café Del Mondo, Americana (Eilidh Patterson, Wookalilly & Janet Holmes)gig at the Junction, Bishop St. Sat. <8pm

If you look on Google Earth, the area behind the toy superstore along the river is marked as 'Derry Quay'. So can we believe Google?
