08 Aug 10 - 12:22 PM (#2960592) Subject: RE: Charley Noble in York Sept 11 From: Charley Noble Peter- Saturday, September 11, looks good to me for The Golden Fleece. Are we still doing something at the Tap & Spile in York on Friday, September 10? I'm still working out details of this UK foray. Right now it looks like Judy and I arrive in London Tuesday morning, August 31, which will give us time to join the gang at Cecil Sharp House for the regular evening session. We depart London on Thursday, September 23. In between there is canal boating with new music friends, folk club spots and at least one festival C. Fox Smith workshop. And there is some follow-up research on C. Fox Smith. I'll start a new thread when everything is nailed down. Cheerily, Charley Noble |

08 Aug 10 - 05:12 PM (#2960754) Subject: RE: Charley Noble in York Sept 11 From: stallion Yes, Friday night at the Tap is a session similiar to the press room which appears a little more chaotic, it does have an etiquette but not for the shrinking violet. The Golden Fleece will be more of a relaxed concert setting. So there is something for everyone. I am trying to get Gerry H out for a sing but he hasn't returned e-mails I will phone him. |

26 Aug 10 - 09:55 AM (#2973208) Subject: RE: Charley Noble in York Sept 11 From: Charley Noble Oh, I need to correct one of my posts above. We can't arrive in London until September 1. So we'll be missing the August 31st session at Sharp's. But we'll certainly be attending the session there on September 21st. Pub-hopping around York certainly sounds like an adventure. 12 Sep 10 - 05:41 AM (#2984957) Subject: RE: Charley Noble in York Sept 11 From: JennyO Charlie, could you please check your PMs? Rob and I will be leaving Bromyard tomorrow, and if we think we can find you, we can swing by your neck of the woods on our way back to Aberdeen. My mobile number is on the second PM I sent you. Otherwise, we don't know where we could find you tomorrow. |

12 Sep 10 - 08:03 PM (#2985410) Subject: RE: Charley Noble in York Sept 11 From: JennyO Charley, I can't find where the Oatley festival is. I'm assuming it's somewhere in Yorkshire still. I don't think either of those dates will work, as we really can only be in that area tomorrow (or maybe Tuesday if we knew we had a reason to wait a day) on our way back to Aberdeen in Scotland. Sounds like you're busy tomorrow anyway. If you can think of anything else, you have my mobile number on a PM I sent you - otherwise it doesn't sound like anything will work, and we'll have to keep on driving up to Scotland. |

13 Sep 10 - 01:47 PM (#2985898) Subject: RE: Charley Noble in York Sept 11 From: GUEST,JennyO Thanks, yy. Someone did let me know that in a PM too. Never mind. In any case we won't be there. Today or maybe tomorrow were only ever the options. I never heard from Charlie personally, and his suggestions on here were no use to us, so we have gone straight back to Scotland. We're already approaching Glasgow as I speak. Oh well..... And thank you Noreen for trying to get his attention on the other thread. |
