I ask, an wonder why not so many of the Guys an Gals from England never think of crossin' the little bit of water an come up to one of the best if not the best Festival of Jazz, folk, an Blues in the whole of Europe. I know tickets are hard to get hold of but it can be done. Go to the Web Page WWW.tf.dk and look at the line up for this year!!! It's amazin'. Those who have been, want to go back for more!!

As Aye,

Phil.

Been going for over 20 years.. It's just the top festival in Europe without a doubt. Musicians clammer to return some I've known even pay their own way just to be there.

Phil.

Wow - what a line-up! If only for Pokey La Farge & the South City Three and Roy Book Binder - both concerts sold out!

I was there with Dougie MacLean, Alan Roberts [ RIP ], and Alex Campbell [ also RIP ] in 1978, just as they'd released their "Campbell, Roberts & MacLean" LP, and that wasn't the first festival in Tonder, so it's a bit older than 25 years. I had a fantastic time, but unfortunately, have never made it back. From what I've heard from various Scottish bands and musicians who've played there in the last few years, it's still a great festival, and yes, maybe the best in Europe.

Hi Phil - Tonder Festival has been on the go for 36 years, starting in 1975. They brought out a wonderful photo history with two CDs of festival recordings for the silver jubilee in 1999.

Anyway, cannot make it this year, so please say hello to people (the few who are left) for me. Have fun!
