Dear All,

Delly Blane of Owlswick Morris had her concertina stolen at Vienna airport, as the side made its way back from Hungary, on Saturday 21st August. It's a rather lovely 36 key anglo made by AC Norman: Jubilee model, with coloured bellows papers. There's a picture of a very similar instrument here on Andrew Norman's website:
http://www.acnorman.co.uk/

Should you come across anything like this, please get in touch with Delly on 07917 368127 or dellyblane at tiscali.co.uk

Please do pass the message on to anyone who might be able to help.

Cheers,
Jane
Owlswick Morris

Will keep a look out, have you posted the description on Concertina.net? There is a section in the discussion forums under Buy & Sell for listing stolen instruments and as it's a world wide site you'll get the attention of concertina players in many countries.

I've just looked on the Cnet site and it's been listed in the stolen section along with a photograph.
Hope it's recovered safely soon.

I am very sorry to hear this Jane. Many of us who play the concertina or anyone that has a musical instrument they love can be devastated by a loss like this.I even dream of leaving it somewhere and have to check that it is still there when I wake up.
The concertina World is small however and we work for one another. Ralphie Jordan helps with a lost or stolen Instrument recovery site .He writes on here, Facebook and C.net, he will be pleased to help.
It may be worth your while contacting the concertina dealers and watch carefully on auction sites.
I will do the same
Good luck
Al

As Alan mentions above, there is a stolen instrument gallery on Facebook. It is run by Ed Rennie: http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/group.php?gid=55285563869&ref=ts.
