On the 25th Dal, (the landlord), will be 40. John Barden will be hosting a Beer and Folk afternoon/ evening.
26th September, I will be celebrating my 60th.There will be ale, food and good company. Please join me in raising the roof. Together this weekend will be known as the 'Hundred Ale'

So, do you plan to drink 100 Ales ? I know Dal's range is huge - but really. Count us in.

I suspect that Simon plans to drink them all himself.

September is getting very crowded isn't it? That's the 3/5, 10/12 and 25/26 all spoken for!

My attendance is conditional upon the date of my upcoming knee replacement op, but, if I'm not actually in hospital I will be there.

And the 18th/19th is whatever the Deal Festival is this year, though the Barden hasn't been booked.

I'll be at Deal all the same, and probably in 'The Bohemian' though not in 'official' role.
I'm looking forward to the Good Intent Ale, and yes, my September diary is really full too - Fylde Folk Festival from 1st to 7th, then Knockholt either 9th or 10th to 12th, then Deal from 16th to 20th, Good Intent on 25th and finally Tenterden from 2nd to 6th October. Not a single spare weekend.

Thank you for your concern (and my buffday pressie) - you may be right: I seem to have a bit of a tickle in the throat and am feeling shivery but that may be the temperature since the central heating is not working and I can neither be bothered to find out why nor to light the logstove. Maybe a cup of bovril and an early night will improve matters.

I am having full moon syndrome. I woke with beginnings of a headache that I can tell isgoing to get worse. TSO went to bed with one and had to take aspirin this morning. His is accompanied by stuffy sinus.

We both get the barometric pressure blues so could just be the change in weather or combination of moon and weather. Natural forces working against us.

barometric pressure blues (TDL song challenge)

Woke up this morning
With my heavy head on
Something atmospheric
Is coming on

I got da low pressure stuffy head blues

Tam- Thanks for the challenge. I've saved your words onto a word doc. but Len doesn't know if he'll do anything with it as he has the low pressure, barometric blues himself. It's definitely that that's the cause cos neither of us touched any booze yesterday. Apparently it's a harvest moon. What you should do at full moon is to howl at it.
