Until seeing your info about The Archers, I wondered if you meant The Bull Inn in Rippingale, Bourne. My longtime pen-pal, her husband, and I had a wonderful dinner there a few years ago before I departed for a week in London followed by a return to the US on the QM2 during her inaugural year (lucky enough to book a highly discounted package rate). I know they have gone back on special occasions and enjoyed it again. When we ate there, it was my treat, and since her husband was an Aussie, I chose an Aussie wine which we all liked. I think the waitstaff was bemused buy our accents: UK-Surrey, Aus-Sidney, US-New England. If you are ever near Bourne . . . |
