07 Sep 10 - 06:07 PM (#2981843) Subject: Ceilidh in Measham From: el_punkoid_nouveau The Oakthorpe, Donisthorpe and Acresford Parish Plan Action Group are organising a fund-raising Ceilidh on 18th September 2010, at Measham Village Hall in Leicestershire. Music will be provided by Brassneck Ceilidh Band, with Steve Edkins calling. Tickets are £10 each, including a fish and chip supper - there should be some available on the door, but as they are limited, it may be better to contact me first if you want some! One of our aims is to raise funds to replace the £50,000 Playbuilder grant we were awarded to rebuild the children's playground in Oakthorpe, but which has since been withdrawn as part of the cuts to reduce the Budget Deficit. We have rethought our strategy, and hope to be able to complete the work by doing as much as possible ourselves, and raising sufficient funds to buy materials. It will be a good fun night out! |
