The website says its sold out with standing room only! I've rang the number on the site to try and reserve a place, but cannot get a reply. Does anyone have another number I could call, as I am travelling from Leeds. Thanks!

So, The Wilsons will be singing in Dungworth while The Frank Harte Festival concert will be on in Dublin. Wonder if we'll hear them?

John: as far as I understand it you can't reserve a place once it's sold out - unless there have been returns. I've never known anyone be turned away, though.

Hello all,
No one ever gets turned away - its a public house after all!
I only sell 35 tickets for the seats we have, I wouldn't want anyone to buy a ticket and not get a seat and have a problem with that. There is other seating elsewhere in the pub if you need a sit down for a bit, but there's also a fair bit of standing room with good sight/sound access to the 'turn' We usually have 50 in and I'd say can accommodate 70 with a bit of cosiness. Those without a seat are asked to make a contribution - many pay the door charge (in this case £7) but if you're a bit strapped, you can stick whatever you can in the hat.
So do come along anyway, sorry for the confusion over tickets/sold out signs - all welcome xx

Jerry - if you can hear them in Dublin, hope I can hear them down here in Guildford. I had a ticket, but had to give it up (already spoken for chaps), as I couldn't get cheap rail tickets (due to being too ill to sort it out after Whitby. I'll just have to look forward to seeing them with Martyn Wyndham-Read in Farnham in a couple of months' time! Hope the Festival goes well ... maybe I'll get there next year.

The Wilsons were in cracking form, and I think they could easily have kept going all night! Were they audible in Dublin?

I think Fay and Jon have really developed something quite special here; but everybody who came contributed something worthwhile whether as guest, singer, performer, or as member of the audience. A good audience like this creates an atmosphere where good singers and performers can flourish.

It does help of course that Dave, Linda & Dave (and Jess!) run such a friendly pub and serve such excellent pies!

A great night.

Matthew

Sorry I wasn't able to go after all, but it sounds as though it was a great night - maybe another time.

I thought I just got a faint echo of them during one of the breaks during Frank Harte Concert. Delighted it was a good night in Dungworth!
