25 Aug 99 - 08:15 AM (#108349) Subject: Cab Calloway Song From: John in Brisbane I give fair warning that some readers may find the following song title offensive, but I understand that Cab Calloway sang this in a movie in the 30's. Among other references the song refers to new shoes and 'a warm place to shit. If I believed that this song was real folk - whatever that is - I may have been less coy in my request. Regards, John |

The song I referred to was apparently used in a film, so can only assume that it was released pre 1935 in USA, or was not released there for quite some time. Judging from the full title of the song I expected any lyric respondents would use their discretion in posting the lyrics. Regards, John |
