Their QB is said to be "a machine". I forget the stats I was quoted from last game, but it sounded like he was on the field by himself. Denard Robinson or sommat? |

09 Oct 10 - 04:10 PM (#3003373) Subject: RE: BS: US College football 2010 From: catspaw49 THe "Team Up North" from the "State Up North" as Michigan is referred to here has its greatest rivalry with Ohio State and since Jim Tressell became coach at OSU, Michigan has won only once in ten years. UofM has been in a down period and this kid is the best player to come along in many a moon. Without him they're still just a bit above mediocre but he is a game maker and breaker. MSU will be a good test..........He worries me though.......... Ask Max how Penn State is doing...............***snicker***........ Spaw |

I have the game on but I am not sitting in front of the TV anymore. For his sake, I hope he's just having an off day, but it's WAY off as of yet. Spaw... ere ye Nittany picking? Ooooo... another M State TD... definitely an off day for the Wolverines. Time to cover the tomatoes. |

09 Oct 10 - 06:47 PM (#3003467) Subject: RE: BS: US College football 2010 From: catspaw49 Interesting game.......OSU has a good shot at being #1 with 'Bama losing to South Carolina. Not that we did anything spectacular by kicking the crap out of poor Indiana....it was Tressell's 100th win at OSU though. Spaw |

27 Nov 10 - 02:46 PM (#3041568) Subject: RE: BS: US College football 2010 From: pdq Last night the University of Nevada Reno defeated Boise State with a game-ending field goal in overtime. That may not seem like a big deal to people back East who are always expect teams like Ohio State, Georgia and Notre Dame to be in the Holliday bowl games, but these two teams were ranked #19 and #3 in the nation. This was the biggest football victory in the history of the state of Nevada. |

27 Nov 10 - 03:36 PM (#3041593) Subject: RE: BS: US College football 2010 From: catspaw49 Once again, Jim Tressel shows what a great coach he is. This hasn't been the best season but it is another pretty damn good one and we figure to go to a bigtime bowl game although not the Rose Bowl. OSU with Tressel has now matched the 6 in a row Big Ten Championships that Woody had and has the best W-L record of any coach in Buckeye history. And to most Buckeye fans, FAR more importantly, he is now 9 and 1 against Michigan. Let's see what happens but my money says Rich Rodriguez is done at Michigan. Should the rumor mill come true and they get Jim Harbaugh in that spot, THAT is trouble for OSU. Harbaugh is a former all-star Michigan player (from Ohio) that never lost to OSU as a starter at Michigan and became hated here when he boldly bragged that they would beat OSU in their own stadium and they did! This guy has had a great career so far as a head coach is is doing a fantastic job at Stanford. The biggest factor though is he understands Michigan football and the importance of the OSU rivalry.....not good for OSU! I also watched the Boise State/Nevada game last night which would easily get my vote as the most exciting game I have seen in years! Spaw |

27 Nov 10 - 04:37 PM (#3041623) Subject: RE: BS: US College football 2010 From: gnu Be a good place for it, pdq. I dislike Canuck football compared to Yankee footbasll. 3 downs makes the game more about physical prowess and less about strategy. It can be as exciting as Yankee football but it doesn't involve the minds and imagination of the viewers like Yankee football. |
