Now the sun's gone to hell And the moon riding high Let me bid you farewell Every man has to die But it's written in the starlight And every line in your palm We're fools to make war On our brothers in arms "Brothers in Arms" is a 1985 song by Dire Straits, appearing as the closing track on the album of the same name. It was written in 1982, the year of the Falklands War. Dire Straits recording: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhdFe3evXpk https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brothers_in_Arms_(song) |

It also gave those fighters an " Everyman" quality rather than the professional soldiers in the Falklands War. Of course, I'm sure Matk drew inspiration from a number of sources. |

Apologies in advance if this is so. |
