13 Oct 10 - 07:57 PM (#3006454) Subject: RE: BS: Dachshunds welcome soldier home From: Little Hawk Yes! Just not terribly well. Well, the younger and more limber ones can climb stairs quite well, actually. Look, old people have trouble with stairs too, you know... |

13 Oct 10 - 09:50 PM (#3006532) Subject: RE: BS: Dachshunds welcome soldier home From: Jim Dixon Did you notice there's a whole bunch of these videos? Different soldiers, different dogs, same reaction. I watched 7 of them. There are still more. I assume these guys have previously greeted their wives and kids. The wife always seems to be the one making the video. Several of the guys refer to themselves as "Daddy" (in relation to the dogs) and a couple talk baby-talk to them. Not what you'd expect. |

I still miss him coming to me around the time Rog comes home at night when I'd say "Is it time for daddy?" and he'd get all excited, watching out the window for him. He also used to get up on the bed, before I got in it, to say goodnight to "daddy." Always asked for permission, first/ My cats yell at me if I stay up too late, complaining they are losing their beauty sleep and I need to come to bed!:-) |

14 Oct 10 - 08:08 PM (#3007284) Subject: RE: BS: Dachshunds welcome soldier home From: LadyJean My mom's family had dachshunds. One of them, appropriately named Loki, took the cover off of grandma's ironing board. Grandaddy successfully argued a case before the Supreme Court. But he couldn't win an argument with a dachshund. They are remarkable dogs. And total sluts when it comes to tummy scritches. |
