BS: Universal Truths

Something like this has probably been posted before, (it's not Murphy's type laws, but kinda like it) but here is a list of Universal Truths that you may wish to add one or two to:
List of Universal Truths

There's some numbers missing.... I think there must be a universal truth about that.

but # 87 covers a lot.

Ketchup makes everything taste better. Except Ketchup

Universal Truth # 119
Taste is in the tongue of the beholder. (Therefore the previous truth: Ketchup makes everything taste better, except Ketchup may not necessarily be true!

What you see is what you get. You get what you pay for. Therefore, you pay for what you see.

Just love this one LOL

Universal Truth # 143
Big turds are both a blessing and a curse. Despite the initial discomfort, you feel immensely proud of it, only to realise that it would never be right to share this with anyone. The intensity of the pride/shame dilemma is in direct proportion to how much is above water.

Never be a passer by - they always get caught in the blast.

Not read this text but:

A cat will "own" his/her master/mistress. Love them but they have ways...

If you are feeling down and believe things always go round in threes and can count that far, you may need extra fingers.

Never react to someone's action- that's the one who always gets caught.

I liked these especially (Bill, I noted #87 and knew it would be yours.:)

Universal Truth #87 Blind compliance or compulsive non-compliance of anything are like the two sides of the same coin due to ignorance.

Universal Truth # 136
We all believe the Truth we perceive, but we only perceive the Truth we believe.

Universal Truth # 163
If Ignorance is Bliss, there should be more happy people.

"Never react to someone's action- that's the one who always gets caught."

A better summary: Never hit back- you'll be the one who gets caught.

A BETTER summary, He who smelled it, dealt it.

The wisest and bravest thing you can ever do is forgive. Forgive your parents. Forgive others. Forgive yourself.

(I didn't get that one off the list.)

Forgiveness is easy to me - or is it. It's logical according to the text I read - forgive others and god will forgive you. It's a no brainer really - forgive.

But if I was to say to myself that today I will forgive LH (not that I believe I've anything to forgive you for), there would be a thread later where I would fall out with LH,

perhaps something else crops up (I can not explain but) getting drawn back here after my first "resignation" and a trip to Yorkshire. Perhaps the reasons for scrapping the Annexe.

Something "demonic" always seems to get in the way of what should be simple.

Yes, Ebbie... #87 is almost TOO good. There are others also.... (I do tend to linger over the serious ones, although just cute & clever ones about cats & such are fun.)

I think that last was S.J. Perelman. His other two were "Never eat in a restaurant called Mom's" and "Never sleep with anyone crazier than you."

UNIVERSAL TRUTH #7672.237a

After you have added one, a pedant like me will come along to expound on the difference between 'Universal Truths' and mere 'Murphy's Laws' and 'Good Advice'

I didn't read all of them so I don't know if this one is there.

Me too Ebbie!

Universal Truth # 10 The truth is no one knows the truth.

How do we know if this is true or not?
